Named for a series of Electro-Motive Diesel engines, EMD-12 lives up to the torque. It breathes smoke, spits tar, burns rubber and screams bloody murder. Singer/guitarist Tal Wallace, guitarist Dean Hunt and drummer Skritch holed up in Skritch’s new studio Borough Music in Brisbane, where they took their time to forge an album that steams ahead of the pack. Unconstrained by Father Time, this was the first occasion the band was able to write in the studio, as well as experiment with additional instruments and arrangements.

SKRITCH BRAND NEW SINGLE & TOUR
The first single from Brisbane based musician, SKRITCH’s up coming new solo album will be released this month and SKRITCH is taking it on the road to Sydney and Melbourne.
The song is typical of the new album, simple and incredibly lush and can be downloaded for free from HERE >
SKRITCH, who is known for his work with Mary Trembles, Smokestack Orchestra, Tex Perkins and others has already released several solo albums.
“I’ve been recording this album between projects in my new studio, THE BOROUGH and so for the first time I’m able to completely accompany myself adding whatever instrumentation and vocals each song calls for. It’s a very exciting process and I am stoked at this opportunity to share some of this excitement.”
For many years SKRITCH has worked almost exclusively with other musicians, playing different roles and instruments

THE SMOKE STACK ORCHESTRA IN THE STUDIO - The Smoke Stack Orchestra have been locked away in The Borough (the new studio of producer Skritch) where they have almost finished tracking the new album. Tentatively entitled 'The Deconstructionists' the boys are stoked with their progress thus far.
"This album reflects our growth as a band" Tal states " we have learnt so much since the last album and we are really loving the songs and sounds that we have for this one"
MILK MILK IN THE STUDIO - Beautiful (though elusive) songsters Milk Milk are back in the studio.
What studio you ask? The Borough of course.
Who are Milk Milk you ask? Well, Milk Milk are Jole Silbersher, Murray Patterson and Skritch.
After playing as the Dark Horses with Tex Perkins and Charlie Owen the trio realised that together they could produce some truly twisted yet beautiful music.
Currently working on their second album the lads are grabbing every opportunity to get together in Australia's best hidden studio (Skritch's own Borough Studio) and the songs are not dissappointing.
With an unusual focus on positivity and the lush sounds and instrumentation available at the Borough this album presents a new dimension whilst retaining all the simple beauty of the last.
Stay tuned for sneak previews.
